No Ordinary Family debuted this week on ABC, and it could be a pretty good show. It has a Heroes touch to it, but much lighter and not as sinister. The premise is that this ordinary family, husband, wife and two kids go on a vacation and their small plane goes down in a storm. They crash into this lake, that is eerily green. When they get back home they each discover they have enhanced abilities...strength, speed, telepathy and computer like brain.
What keeps this from being just like Heroes is the family aspect of it. The show tries to keep the family relationships and turmoils on par with the super hero stuff. It is a really fine balance, and I don't know if they can keep it up. But I am willing to go along for a few episodes and find out before I make a decision.
BTW- Running Wilde is now off my viewing list. Second episode did not make me laugh at all, just a few smiles. There is too much other stuff on to keep it.
